As per the Their Opportunity website, to qualify for a sports subsidy for your athlete/participant, families must fall within the financial criteria as per Revenue Canada’s low income measure (LIM) thresholds by income source and household size;

• Once an athlete(s)/participant(s) is funded they must go out in the community and volunteer to “pay it forward” to their community.​

Passport is a program that helps adults 18 years or older with a developmental disability;

Passport provides funding for services and supports so adults with a developmental disability can;

• Take part in community classes or recreational programs, etc.​

Provides a minimum amount of $5,500 per athlete/participant, per year;

• Can be used for the following: registration fees, paddling equipment (paddles/PFDs), entry fees to competitions, etc.​
