CPCC's summer camps are offered on a weekly and full summer basis (at a discounted rate). All of our camp instructors are NCCP certified, and are passionate about teaching water safety and introductory canoe and kayak skills! These full day camps are a great way to spend summer outside developing teamwork and physical literacy skills! Centered around foundational athlete development, team building, and skills acquisition, CPCC's youth sprint racing programs are designed to develop strong, well rounded young athletes. Open to beginners and experienced paddlers alike, and led by NCCP certified coaches, these programs focus on developing the person, as well as the athlete! They are also a great way for your kids to spend time outdoors making friends while being happy and active!
With priorities focused on developing athletes for long-term success in sport, the CPCC offers sprint programs designed for athletes looking to compete at the provincial, national, and international levels. From individual to team boat performance, the CPCC has a history and culture of excellence. Over the years, the CPCC has had many Provincial and National Team members compete at events such as Canada Games, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
Our adult programs offer an opportunity for a social activity while learning new skills outdoors on the water. Meet new people, make new friends, and challenge yourself! Recreational or competitive, we have a program for you! Programs such as our Adult Canoe/Kayak, General Membership, Dragonboat, Recreation & Fitness paddling, etc. promote a healthy and active lifestyle through paddle sports for all ages, all interest and skill levels. Join one of our fun filled programs that focuses on learning or refining skills in our wide variety of paddling programs.
Our Paddle All, Special O, & Para Canoe/Kayak programs are designed for individuals with an intellectual and/or physical disability. Whether through adaptive equipment, or our caring, passionate, and certified staff, our programs are flexible and personalized to meet the needs of the individual. Paddling is a sport activity that everyone can enjoy and the CPCC is committed to making it accessible on the beautiful Mississippi in the heart of Carleton Place! New in 2023! The CPCC Dragon Boat program offers a chance for people of any age to spend time on the Mississippi River learning new skills and enjoying the great outdoors. Whether you are new to Dragon Boat, or a returning paddler, we encourage you to come out, get active outside and meet new people. No particular level of fitness is required, just a positive attitude and a goal to challenge yourself. Be a part of a team that welcomes you and pushes you towards your individual and collective goals. The CPCC also offers dragon boat rentals for teams looking to train in the evenings.
