CPCC's summer camps are offered on a weekly and full summer basis (full summer at a discounted rate). All of our camp instructors are National Coach Certification Program trained, and are passionate about teaching water safety and introductory canoe and kayak skills! These full day camps are a great way for kids to spend summer outside learning about water safety, developing strong teamwork skills, and gaining physical literacy through sport! CPCC campers will make friends for life on the Mississippi, so join our family, sign up and COME PADDLE WITH US for the best summer ever!
Centered around foundational athlete development, team building, and skills acquisition, CPCC's youth sprint racing programs are designed to develop strong, well rounded young athletes. Open to beginners and experienced paddlers alike, and led by National Coach Certification Program certified coaches, programs focus on developing the person as well as the athlete! Canoe/kayak is a great sport to compliment the development of the young athlete, with a focus on core strength and fitness that will transfer to good training habits and long-term success in sport.
Our adult programs offer an opportunity for a social activity while learning new skills outdoors on the water. Meet new people, make new friends, and challenge yourself! Recreational or competitive, we have a program for you! Programs such as our Adult Canoe/Kayak, General Membership, Dragonboat, Recreation & Fitness paddling, promote a healthy and active lifestyle through paddle sports for all ages, all interest and skill levels. Join one of our fun filled programs that focuses on learning or refining skills in our wide variety of paddling programs.
Our Paddle All program provides a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals with an intellectual and/or physical disability to come together and enjoy paddle sports on the Mississippi. Our passionate coaches deliver a program that caters to both competitive paddlers and beginners alike. With a recreation only stream and a competition stream, participants can choose to have a relaxing, soothing experience on the water, or a competition and skills development based experience. There are also opportunities to participate in local, provincial, and national racing competitions.
The CPCC Dragon Boat program offers a chance for people of any age to spend time on the Mississippi River learning new skills and enjoying the great outdoors. Whether you are new to Dragon Boat, or a returning paddler, we encourage you to come out, get active outside and meet new people. No particular level of fitness is required, just a positive attitude and a goal to challenge yourself. Be a part of a team that welcomes you and pushes you towards your individual and collective goals. Our CPCC teams aim to compete at the CPDB Festival in September. The CPCC also offers dragon boat rentals for teams looking to train in the evenings.
With a focus on developing athletes for long-term success in sport, the CPCC offers sprint High Performance programs designed for athletes looking to compete at provincial, national, and international levels. From individual to team boat performance, the CPCC has a history and culture of excellence. Over the years, the CPCC has had many Provincial and National Team members compete at events such as Canada Games, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
