High performance programs

U14 JD

 Designed around the Learning to Train  and Training to Train stage of CKC's Long Term Athlete Development plan, participants ages 12 and 13 (as of January 1st of competition year) will be trained in single and crew boats focusing on aerobic endurance, speed development, nutrition and goal setting. The program also incorporates water safety and pure enjoyment of sport and fitness. Participants will be given the opportunity to compete at divisional and provincial regattas. Carleton Place's Junior development programs reinforce important personal skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, building self-confidence, and they teach the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle.  All of Carleton Place's programs are led by friendly, dependable, knowledgeable and certified staff. 

Dates: 

Spring & Summer  Monday, June 3rd - Friday, June 28th: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 - 4:30pm and Saturday from 8:00 - 9:30am. Tuesday, July 2nd - Friday, August 23rd from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Ages: Participants must be aged 12-13 as of January 1st 2019

Cost: 

Spring & Summer  $915 + $100 insurance & affiliation fee & $30 Capital Improvement Contribution 

Spring to Fall  $965 + $100 insurance & affiliation fee & $30 Capital Improvement Contribution 

Program Requirements: Must be able to swim 25m (any stroke) and tread water for at least 1 minute (as per the National Lifesaving Society swim to survive standard.

Volunteering: This program requires a minimum of 10 volunteer hours per family, or a $100 volunteer opt-out payment. All registrants will be required to submit a volunteer cheque or deposit to complete registration.

Please note that your registration is not complete until your account is paid in full and you have submitted a signed waiver and code of conduct. Payment can be maid by credit, debit, or cheque in the canoe club office. Waiver, code of conduct, and parent information can be found on OUR WEBSITE, or through the link below.
