As a not-for-profit organization, the Carleton Place Canoe Club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The club needs members of our community to join together to help facilitate initiatives like fundraising efforts, events management, and volunteer recruitment. Each year at the CPCC AGM, board positions are voted on by the membership. Nominations for open positions are taken from the the floor and motioned forward for voting, with a simple majority carrying each vote. The Board of Directors consists of the following positions:
Once the Board of Directors is in place, we will also be seeking volunteers from our community to sit on various operating committees. These committees will work together to carry out tasks associated with the initiatives overseen by the Board. Some of these committees will include:
